It was a day like any other for Luke Honeysett, but that was to change.
He suddenly found his life inextricably entangled with one of the biggest crooks of the century.
But it wasn't Luke's century.
That would have been bad enough, but Luke found himself falling in love with the crook's wife. Despite being a married man himself.
He probably should not have embarked on a reckless journey to try and rescue her, because then he became trapped further from home than he could possibly have imagined.
And what with one thing leading to another (though not necessarily in that order), he soon discovered that the fate of the universe was in his hands. Or so he was told.
It would have been helpful if he had known what he was doing. But you can't have everything...
